I loved the drums in the beginning

Those band drums being used are so awesome!

BMKikiBeats responds:

Haha, almost forgot you really dislike the 808's snare fills! Sorry, this beat is old, but I do know of the drums you speak of! I sampled an old war march song and used its drums for this beat! I to love them, thanks for the review!

Great Melody!

Great work! You also didn't use so much of those drums :). They were really used in a nice melodic way.

Great job, man!

BMKikiBeats responds:

Yeah, when making this beat I tried going full force with the elements instead the the drums! Glad you enjoyed, thanks bro!

DUDE......

I really don't know what to say.....

This is just really blowing my mind right now. When I heard that record crackling(for some reason that makes me think of cornbread, lol. I don't know why. It's always been like that) at the beginning, I was just hooked from then on...

This shit is just so damn CHILL! This is hip hop!!

HAD to download this.

Ridiculous, Dep....

For real, man...

DJEPITOME responds:

Damn, Thanks Man.

I Did This Live. I Made The Beat On My 606, With Different Sequences And Shit, Then I Found That Dope Ass Live Track.
Then I Just Pressed Record And This Is What I Did, The Voice Samples, Beat Change Ups And Everything Were All Done Live With Me On The Turn Tables And The 606. Thats Why The Little Beat At The End Isnt That Great, And It All Gets Jumbled And Crazy.

It Just Coincidence That The Wah-Wah Guitars And Stuff All Happened To Fit The Beat. This Was The First And Only Take.

Thanks For The Support Mang

DJ Dove...

This reminds me of DJ Dove..

Awesome asscratchiness! That definitely got rid of the itch...

This definitely sound like a turntable..I actually didn't think you could use fruity scratcher to that level anyway.

trancedatlantic responds:

yo if you like scratchin, check out dj qbert or js-one . or the "return of the DJ" series

Tough For Real! Those scratches

Man, this is awesome. You turned my beat into a classic! I'm lovin it!

Those scratchy really add that last final piece to it.

Man this is awesome!

DJEPITOME responds:

Im Glad You Liked It.

Damn, A Classic? Thats Dope You Think That, It Means A Lot Mang.

Mad Props Man On The Beat, It Goes Hard And Its Epic.
Im Glad You Dig The Turntablism.

Thanks
Peaces

Who gave this a zero??

What idiot did that??

At any rate...

This is awesome, man. Did you do the beat, too?

Both are just made for each other...

So dope..

You can tell that this wasn't mastered or anything, but that doesn't really matter to me

HeIsAlive responds:

It is remastered now :D

So hopefully we dont get anymore 0's, I didnt think people would vote before I was going to finish the song lol.

And thanks buddy, I appreciate the comment.
Hopefully you enjoy it more now that i have updated the track :D

Bowdown...

Although, I probably wouldn't consider this a old school beat with those strings(when I hear strings being used heavily on a song, I think post 2000), but it does sound like this beat was definitely made for the lyrics.

Nicely done, man!

fizhbone responds:

Thanx a lot, its good to hear i made something you like... :D sorry for the late responce on this review...

JDilla feel

Reminds me to JDilla's "Two Can Win".

Love it!

DJDureagon responds:

Two can win is my jam! only one can winnnnnnn.! Nah dude. im not that good. but thanks for the comment.

Space age isht..

The way it came on, I can't think of what it reminded me of...

Dang, but it's nice man. Very nice.

Love it

trancedatlantic responds:

yeah man it has that effect on me too. i remember making it, but i could never give the buildup justice with anymore I added to it. im really glad i still have this mp3, its over 5 years old now i think

Love it!

Although, I like straight pitches, I do like this "free flowingness" of this song. I'm guess that's what you were trying to achieve.

If not, then, my only suggestion would be to match the pitches better.

But that's it, though. The arrangement is great in my opinion and sounds polished!

DjBirdMav responds:

Thanks, I gotta work on the pitch matching, still relatively clueless how to go about doing it without changing the BPMs or tempo.

I'm taking a journey to learn the art of creating great, clean, soul-moving music and beats. My influences are JDilla, Black Milk, 9th Wonder, Madlib, you know..producers of that mindset. So, if you're one of those guys that like "Radio" hip hop, not here
