I'm thinking it's the drums that aren't up to part on the track. The drums lack the energy that I think the track needs. Like I know what you were going for, but just didn't have the right drum sounds for. You also can make the drums mono and giving that snare more reverb and a nice filter to bring them out, too. But again, not a bad track at all, but has the potential for more.

Wolfie responds:

I appreciate the review, Kevin!

The drums didn't do it for you? I thought they sounded kinda nice to me. I do agree with you about the track having more potential. I probably could've put a lot more work into this and ended up with something much better. But hey, I get lazy with these things lol.

Love the flow of this joint, man. I think that the high end of the shaker at the beginning is a little piercing , but not to the point that the song isn't enjoyable. Some smooth Primo type stuff right here, man.

Crueltool responds:

glad you commented this! Thanks dude))) check me out again))

Hey man, I'm glad you gave us the warning, lol But yeah, I agree with what Midnights and RedNWhite said on those chords and chord progressions. You should be able to find some good videos by just searching for "music theory" or "music scale chords"

JackRocker responds:

Yyyyeah. This one was kindof a fail, honestly. Thanks for the review!

What's up Jack? I know it's been a while, man :) I'm diggin this, and basically agree with everything Stavier said.

JackRocker responds:

Thanks a lot man!

I think that you did a great job on this! On thing that I think kind of stood out were the cymbals. I think the high end of the were a little piercing, but it may be my monitors. Or it may be what you wanted as well. Just letting you know what I heard, though.

But yeah, great job on the arrangement.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thanks for the review man! Yeah, I wanted to make sure the drums cut through the mix well. My mixing skills I'm sure need some improvement, it might be a little off in the EQ. Thanks for the input!

I think that you definitely have that dance vibe down on this track. I think the mix could be a little more better to bring out the energies a little better, but it doesn't make the track un-enjoyable. Great job on this!

You remind me of one of my friends, Unicron. I think you guys could make some great music together. I'm gonna send him your way. Great stuff, man.

freezwalm responds:

aight, you do that :D

The first thing that stand out at me is the mix/master on this. I felt that you had a very nice arrangement, but your sounds could've been mixed a little better to give you that energy you wanted. Again, great arrangement, but the mix held it back, I think.

Dylnmatrix responds:

Yeah, it could be mixed a bit better. I didn't do much before I exported it, as I'm lazy and not very confident in my mixing abilities. But I'll definitely look into fixing it. Thanks for taking the time to review! It really helps.

I think that this was a very fun track, here. Some nice groovy melodies and arrangement. Great job on this piece.

Dylnmatrix responds:

Thanks for the feedback ^^

I DEFINITELY like this form of drumstep, and not that BroStep that you hear on MCD's commercials. :P Great job on this one. Very full track, man.

I'm taking a journey to learn the art of creating great, clean, soul-moving music and beats. My influences are JDilla, Black Milk, 9th Wonder, Madlib, you know..producers of that mindset. So, if you're one of those guys that like "Radio" hip hop, not here
